Kentucky Small Business Air Quality Advisory Panel
The panel has 11 members who are appointed by the governor. The panel members represent small businesses, the general public, economic development programs and air quality regulators.
The panel's duties include:
Advising the Division of Compliance Assistance and Division for Air Quality on program effectiveness.
Preparing periodic reports to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Reviewing information for small businesses to assure it is understandable to the layperson.
Disseminating reports, reviews and advisory opinions.
In 1997, the panel established the Small Business Air Quality Stewardship Awards to recognize small businesses that are leaders in improving air quality and whose practices could easily be duplicated by others.
Quarterly panel meetings are held at the offices of the Division for Air Quality, 200 Fair Oaks Lane, Frankfort, Ky. Agendas are available two weeks in advance. Meetings will start at 1:30 p.m. EST.
