Introduction
The Kentucky Board of Certification of Wastewater System Operators serves in an advisory capacity to the Division of Compliance Assistance on implementation of the operator training and certification programs. The board advises the division on all aspects of operator training and certification. Specifically, the board reviews and recommends action on Class IV Operator applicant qualifications, substitutions for education/experience, proposed administrative regulations, continuing education training to be utilized for renewal purposes, certification examinations, training and certification fees, state reciprocal agreements and the need for certified operator disciplinary actions.

The Wastewater Certification Board consists of six members who are appointed by the governor and serve four-year terms. The current board consists of the following members:

Application for Approval of Courses for Continuing Education Credit
Course providers must submit a continuing education course to the appropriate certification board for approval before certified operators can receive continuing education credit for the course. To have the course reviewed by the board, submit a completed "Application for Approval of Courses for Continuing Education" form, which is located on the forms library page, with the required supporting documentation to the Division of Compliance Assistance, Operator Certification Program at the address on the form.

Board-Approved Training
This link will open an Excel document containing a list of courses that have been approved by the certification boards for operator continuing education hours. This list contains the course code, course title, provider, date and the number of approved continuing education hours for each course.
