The Division of Compliance Assistance (DCA) is one of six divisions located within the Department for Environmental Protection (DEP). The Department for Environmental Protection is responsible for protecting Kentucky’s air, water and land resources. The Division of Compliance Assistance was created in 2004 to assist individuals and businesses in their efforts to comply with Kentucky’s environmental requirements. The division’s creation has been warmly received and the demand for the division’s services is growing daily.
The Division of Compliance Assistance’s mission is to enable excellence in environmental compliance, to recognize environmental leadership and to facilitate activities that enhance the welfare of Kentucky’s citizens and environment. This will require vision, commitment and determination on the part of the agency, Kentucky’s citizens, and the individuals and companies governed by Kentucky’s environmental requirements. The Division of Compliance Assistance is committed to leading this effort and is anxious to form partnerships with anyone interested in ensuring this mission’s success.
